This is the Life has been the motto of Evangel for a number of years now. And it is a good by-line for a church..."The Life" is, of course, a heavily loaded expression - it speaks of Eternal Life, Abundant Life, and the Christian Life, and all within the suggested context of a positive and enjoyable environment for the individual and for the entire Body of Christ

Since Father's Day of 2007 when Wendy and I started our ministry here at Evangel, we have had the joy of watching the Lord continue His release of Life within this congregation. It has been exciting to observe the moving of His Spirit in our services and in (and through) the lives of many people who call this church "home".

It seems clear to me that one of the primary callings of Evangel is to serve as a unique gateway to the Kingdom of God, for hurting and searching people who are seeking to find their way closer to God. If we can collectively grasp the significance of the statement, The most important people in the Kingdom are those not yet in it, we will never wander far from God's manifest purpose for this church. We will indeed be able to offer Life to a needy world!

Rev. Ben & Rachel Wright
Assistant Pastors

 In February of 2008 Pastors Ben & Rachel Wright joined the Evangel team. Both Ben and Rachel are credentialed pastors with the PAOC and minister alongside senior pastor Rick Bombay.

Rachel's academic background in Christian counselling has equipped her with a listening ear and a heart for pastoral care.

Ben's love for leading the Church in worship and ministering the Word of God overflows into his work and ministry here at Evangel on a weekly basis. When pastor Ben isn't here at Evangel he's got his nose in a book as he pursues his Master of Theological Studies at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto. You can keep up with pastor Ben at his blog.

Pastor Carolyn Lawson
Children's Pastor

Pastor Carolyn has been involved in Children's Ministry for over ten years and has been on staff at Evangel since October 2007. She has a deep desire for the community and envisions that all will be touched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She loves being with the kids and can't get enough of their wacky and unique personalities.
